Manchester United Vs West Ham Highlights: Ronaldo Is Back!

Play in Popup (Alternate Link)

Line up:
GK: KuszcackRB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra
RM: Ronaldo
CM: Fletcher
CM: Anderson
LM: Nani
ST: Tevej
ST: Berbatov

Subs: Foster, Neville, O'Shea, Carrick, Giggs, Park, Rooney

Woah! That was a classy performance from the lads, though we again switched off in the second half. And Ronaldo scored a brace and he celebrated too... 8O

Finally Tevej got a start and he did okay okay... not bad I would say. He looks low on confidence at the moment. Only more match time will help him do better. He will get there, I'm sure. He needs to do much more to justify his place in the starting line up. As I said we need to keep the tempo up till 90th minute, but we mysteriously switch off after taking lead. :? Even Fergie thinks we were relaxed in the second half. Fergie started with Rafael at the RB. He is a raw talent and still immature. He did well and he can just improve with time. He seems to be sliding to much into tackles, but its okay... he will learn.

Defense was not trouble for most part of the match. Only one or two nervous moments but West Ham looked inept in from of the goal. All back four were rock solid. Evra offered a lot offensively. He was continuously bombing forward. Almost set up a goal for Tevej. But Green did well to stop it. Vidic needs to improve his passing skills. Rio was immense as usual.

Fletcher was very lively in the first half, but was pretty much invisible in the second half, so is the whole team. It was Anderson's best game by far. And one more thing, the boy can't shoot even if his life is dependent on it. His shooting is extraordinarily awful. He played a nice through ball to Berbatov for the second goal.

I was more than happy to see Nani starting. Sitting him on bench is like wasting his talent. Seems he has earned to play selflessly. All of our attack flowed from left through him. His assist to Ronaldo for the first goal just awesome. But he needs to improve his crossing abilities. He is far more capable of providing quality crosses into the box. But still he is the best crosser of the ball in the team at the moment.

Ronaldo is finding his form back. He is still troubling with his dribbling and pace, but nevertheless he got away with two goals. Its all about being in the right position at the right time. This is something that Tevej should learn from the Ronnie and Berbatov. He stayed on his feet for the whole bloody match.
I even saw him tracking back. I'm sure he is gonna get 30+ goals this season.

Carrick and Rooney did what they were supposed to do. Carrick showed what we were lacking. He made some exquisite passes that could have led to goals. Rooney (or should I say Baldooney) tried hard to score his 100th goal but no luck... :(
I must say he looks like a thug with this shaved head... remind me of Dr. Evil from Austin Powers.

Berbatov = Cla$$
This man is colossal. Never looses his composure. He's got the best first touch I've ever seen. And the skills he shown on the bylines for the second goal... breathtaking... that was exquisite. It was a 30 million dollar assist! Pure class. He is worth every penny we paid for him. Man of the match.

Manchester United Vs West Ham Preview

Watch the match highlights here!
We play West Ham at home today. We lost a great opportunity to clos down the gap to Chelsea by dropping two points against Everton. Michael Carrick is expected to first team action today. That's a big boost for United since lack of quality in the midfield is costing united some points. We must win this match even if West Ham have been our bogey team.

Giggs and Fletcher have been decent in the midfield, but they lack the skills to hold the ball and keep the possession. Everton outclassed them quiet easily in the second half. And how one can start Park over Nani is beyond me! I don't say that Park did anything wrong on Saturday, he was pretty decent, did some great tackles, but again he didn't do very well either. His contribution to offense was zero. There was no connection between the midfield and the forward in the second half.

United dominated the whole first half. But its really pity to see how United switch off after getting the lead. This has happened quiet a few times in the last season also. Whole team played shite on Saturday. It was Rio's worst match I must say. We could have lost the match, had Everton converted Rio's blunders. Rooney looked more interested in scoring his 100th goal than winning. Firgie again got his tactics(?) wrong. His substitutions were ridiculous. Subbing Nani for Rooney! I mean... WTF!
Team was unrecognizable at the end of the match. Tevej should have been introduced much earlier in the match. In fact he should have started the match ahead of Rooney. He certainly does not deserve to warm the bench 7 games in a row.

Ronaldo is still off pace and lacking the match fitness. He should have been rested. He is lacking confidence in his game. He missed a 10 yard chance in the second half. It wasn't easy though, but last year's Ronaldo would have tucked it in swiftly. Anyway Ronaldo and Berbatov might be rested today. Park and Nani will start on the wings today. I think Carrick will be used as a sub. Fletcher and Anderson will start in the center.

By the way, Ronaldo won the FIFPro world player of the year award!!! Nobody deserved it more than him. Rio is also there in the FIFPro world team. We should win this game comfortably.

My team would be

Football Fans Know Better

Ronaldo and Carrick to replace Park and Anderson in the second half.
Prediction: 2-1 to United. Tevej and Ronaldo to score.

Manchester United Vs West Brom Highlights

Play in Popup (Alternate Link)

Line up:
GK: VDSRB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra
RM: Ronaldo
CM: Fletcher
CM: Giggs
LM: Park
ST: Rooney
ST: Berbatov

Subs: Kuszcack, Evans, Brown, O'Shea, Nani, Neville, Gibson

This was our best performance of the season. Few games back we were troubling to find the net and now we have a four different players on the scoresheet. Wow...

All the players performed well. Our derense was colossal. WBA didn't have a single shot from inside the box. WBA never wanted to score anyway. Only one team was playing football. I just hate the teams who play for draw.

Match referee was totally nuts. He disallowed Rooney's goal in the first half. That was an exquisite finish. Rooney is on form of his life. He put in the MOTM performance. Simply pleasure to watch. As expected Brown was rested ahead of the Celtic match. But it was Rafael who got into the starting line up ahead of Neville. And Park started over Nani. Park did little to justify his place in the starting elevan.

Rafael was impressive on his Premiere League debut. He is always more willing to go forward. Well, sometime he was caught in wrong position, but he will learn with the experiencHe looked tense for the first 10-15 minutes or so, but then he was much more confident on the ball Surely, I can see him as the number one choice RB at United.

Evra was subbed by the O'Shea in the fisrt half only. He was limping. Some hamstring injury. And he is a major doubt for Celtic match. I hope to see Fabio getting some first team games. Not sure if he is match fit though. Rio and Vidic were hardly ever troubled. Another clean shit! Best defense in the world!

Fletcher and Giggs were playing in the center. Giggs was our poorest player, but far from the worst. In first half I was just wondering if he would ever pass the ball to a red shirt. :P Fletcher had a decent game. He did what he was supposed to do. But, these two offered nothing on attacking front. Hopefully Carrick's return is the answer.

Ronaldo was again poor by his own standards. But he was the second best player on the pitch. He was struggling against some god-knows-who RB. He will get there. But still he had one goal, thanks to Rooney's excellent through ball. He didn't celebrate his goal! :( Seems he is not happy at United. He was looking as if he is just doing his work. May be, he doesn't feel at home at United anymore. :( I hope I'm wrong. May be he has changed his celebration style and would throw this no-big-deal attitude whenever he scores. Same is the case with Berbatov. He didn't celebrate his goal like Rooney or others. But whatever he did, suits him... :P After scoring, his expression were like "What? Who...? ...Me?" May be he is trying to imitate Cantona...

Nani had a fantastic cameo. He played selfless... well most of the time. and got away with a goal and an assist. Chances against Celtic are great. Berbatov was great. His goal was one lazy poacher's goal. ;) He is developing a very good chemistry with Ronaldo and Rooney. Fast counter attacking football. What goals! lightening! Blink and u miss the goal...

And Hey I got my prediction right courtesy the referee-who-was-nuts :P

Manchester United Vs West Brom Preview

Watch the match highlights here!
So the boooooooooooring international break is over. I just hate these breaks to death. We are currently at 8th position on the table. We would be joining the top four after beating the WBA on Saturday.

WBA have been doing fairly good. They are 11th in the table. Some key player would be absent from WBA squad as they have some injury problems to deal with. That would not have changed the outcome anyway... :P

Maichael Carrick is back to full fitness. That's a big boost for us. Seems Owen Hargreaves would also feature in the game.

Meanwhile, Rooney has gone bald... Baldooney, eh? Whatever but he looks like a shrek in this new thug look. He has hit the top form again. He has scored 7 in 6 games. Hopefully Brown will start at RB in the game. This boy has improved his crossing abilities and he owns that spot.

Fergie will have an eye on Celtic game, so he may rest Berbatov or Rooney.

My team for Saturday

GK: VDSRB: Brown
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra
RM: Ronaldo
CM: Carrick
CM: Hargreaves
LM: Nani
ST: Berbatov
ST: Tevej

Rooney to replace Tevej in the second half.
Prediction: 4-0 to United. Berbatov and Ronaldo to score.
