Manchester United pays a short trip to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers. It will be a tricky encounter as Rovers have always troubled United in the past. After the 3-0 Champions League victory, United are expected to go down all the guns blazing at Ewood Park.
Blackburn Rovers are also in good form. They beat Everton and Newcastle United in their last two fixtures. In the last 8 league matches against them, we have managed to beat them only once. So it will be a good contest between the two. Hopefully they would not defend with ten men behind the ball like Bolton.
Wayne Rooney is a doubt for the match. His injury is not that serious. But ManUtd.com says he will be available for England's World Cup qualifiers. Typical of Wayne Rooney, eh? Whenever he looks like getting back to his sparkling form, some injury knocks him to bench. Paul Scholes is sidelined for 10 weeks due to knee ligament damage. No latest news on Owen Hargreaves' fitness.
I hope Brown starts on Saturday. That boy deserves to be a regular starter. Nobody can convince me that Gary Neville is, at the moment, better that Brown. I don't want to see that bone headed Nani starting the match. Watching him play frustrates me to death. I would like to see Park on the left. Not many options in the center. Fletcher and Anderson would start with Giggs replacing Anderson in the second half.
Berbatov and Ronaldo would be surely the ones to watch on Saturday. Their understanding at the moment looking much better than Berbatov-Rooney/Tevez.
I don't see United conceding on Saturday, if they control the likes of Santa Cruz and Pedersen.
My team for Saturday
GK: VDS | RB: Brown CB: Ferdinand CB: Vidic LB: Evra | RM: Park CM: Fletcher CM: Anderson LM: Ronaldo | ST: Berbatov ST: Tevej |
With Giggs to replace Anderson in the second half.
Prediction: 2-0 to United. Berbatov and Ronaldo to score.
